A broken fire hydrant left some residents without water in Beaconsfield this afternoon.
An investigator from Affinity Water was called to Maxwell Road at around 2.30pm after reports of a broken water main.

The investigator discovered that a fire hydrant was broken and fixed the problem.
Water supplies were interrupted temporarily and residents were asked not to use electrical items such as dishwashers and washing machines until the problem was solved.
Water supplies should have returned to normal, but discoloured water may be reported.
Affinity Water recommended running the tap for around five to ten minutes.
An Affinity Water spokesperson said: “We detected a suspected burst through a drop in water pressure on Maxwell Road, Beaconsfield on Tuesday, September 29.
"However, on further investigation, our technician determined that this was a fire hydrant which had been left on by a third party, which has now been switched off.”
