A new life-saving defibrillator is set to be installed in Beaconsfield – the first of four planned for the town.

The life-saving equipment, which was a gift from county councillor Adrian Busby, will be installed by the town council on the wall of the town hall and will be easy for members of the public to use, with instructions on the front.

The WI have also joined the initiative and are fundraising towards buying a second machine to go outside the town library with a quiz at St Teresa’s Church Hall on April 23.

Leader of the Town Council Alastair Pike said: “The Town Council is proud to be in the forefront in provision of this potentially life-saving equipment.

“We hope that other organisations will follow the example of the WI and raise money towards providing more.”
