The historic Beaconsfield Charter Fair will open in the Old Town for its 747th year this afternoon.
Despite the rain, the town's oldest tradition is expected to draw hundreds of visitors when it opens at 2pm.
The fair, which is free to enter, is brought to the town by the Showmen's Guild of Great Britain every year on May 10 and boasts over 100 attractions and rides as well as refreshment stalls.
The Charter Fair started in 1269 and there is said to be a rule that if a fair is missed once it is not allowed to come back.
