  • Join Gerrards Cross Community Association for an afternoon of royal games and live music to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday on June 12. Bring your own picnic or buy pizzas from their outdoor pizza oven. The Royal tea stall will be serving tea and cakes and Pimms, wine and beer will be available from the bar. The event will take place at the Gerrards Cross Memorial Centre from 12.15pm and costs £5.
     
  • At Beaconsfield library on Saturday, June 25, there will be plenty of fun for young children. From 10am until 10.30am, join the author of Mrs Blossom and Sniffy for special story time for children under eight. From 10.30am until 12pm, children under 10 can join in with crafty Saturday – there is no need to book, just drop in.
     
  • The popular car boot sale at Seeleys House in Campbell Drive, Knotty Green, now runs every Sunday until October 30 from 1pm to 4pm – entry is free for people visiting, charges apply to sellers (£8 for a car and £12 for a van). Call 01494 475792 for more information. Seeleys House Opportunities and Respite Centre has been providing respite and day opportunities to hundreds of people for over 30 years.
     
  • Vintage Brass will be joining forces with ladies choir, The Heath Singers, in a special concert to raise funds for Parkinson’s UK at St Thomas’s Church in Mayflower Way, Holtspur on June 14.   • Fifteen Seer Green gardens will be opening in aid of Thames Valley Air Ambulance on June 26 from 2pm until 5pm. Maps and tickets available from Seer Green Baptist Church Hall, HP9 2XG, with parking on Drovers Way. Refreshments will also be available. Adult entry is £5, children under 16 go free.
     
  • The Chiltern Shakespeare Company will be performing The Comedy of Errors at the open air theatre, Hall Barn estate, Old Beaconsfield from June 8-11 and 15-18. For families who wish to picnic in the sunshine, grounds will open two hours before each performance.
