Beaconsfield MP Dominic Grieve joined hundreds of residents at the town's annual showcase on Saturday.

Beaconsfield Now! aims to highlight the work of charities and not-for-profit organisations in the town and saw hundreds of people join the celebration on June 18.

The Beaconsfield Society has hosted the annual event for more than 20 years in a bid to help charities and groups including education, theatre and sports organisations recruit more members and volunteers.

Dominic Grieve MP took a break from politics to join the fun on the Town Hall green and town Crier Dick Smith, new Beaconsfield mayor Patrick Hogan and councillor Sandy Saunders were among those to enjoy the range of stalls and attractions.

Organisations including the Blue Cross animal rehoming centre, Beaconsfield Twinning Association and St Mary's and All Saints School had stalls throughout the day, while the Rotary Club of Jordans and District offered free blood pressure checks.

The University of the Third Age, Model Railway Club, Friends of Holtspur Bank, Alfriston pool representatives, Churches Together, The Library, WI, Carers Trust and The Royal Artillery Association also joined the festivities.

Meanwhile, the town's Scouts helped prepare a barbecue and the Guides provided cakes and refreshments as children and adults enjoyed entertainment from musicians and choirs, arts and crafts and a bouncy castle.
