There will also be live music, barbecue, Pimms and drinks bar. It will run from 9am until 4.30pm and is free to enter.

  • Beaconsfield Childcare will be taking part in ‘The Big Toddle’ – a charity walk to raise money for Barnardo’s – on Saturday, July 16. • Thirsty cyclists will now be able to chain their bikes outside Smith and Kittle coffee shop in Station Road, Beaconsfield thanks to a new cycle rack paid for by The Beaconsfield Cycle Path Action Group. • Keep the children entertained during the summer holidays with some sporty activities at the Beacon Sports Centre in Beaconsfield. Whether it is judo (every Saturday, 10am to 12pm until September 3), trampolining (every Monday, 1pm until 3pm until August 22 and Tuesday, 1pm until 6.45pm, until August 30) or badminton (every Sunday 5pm to 6pm until September 4 and Wednesday 4.30pm until 5.30pm until August 31), there is something for all kids to enjoy. • Celebrate the opening of a new permanent exhibition at Jordans historic Quaker Meeting House (built 1688) – the burial place of William Penn, on July 16. Eighteen panels recount the history of the building, why it was built here when it was, and its link to Jordans Village as ‘a Quaker social experiment’ - all in its context of non-conformism and dissent in this part of the Chilterns. As well as the static panels there is also a short film and a new, dedicated monitor for accessing the ‘Quakers in the World’ web portal for visitors to try. All welcome - drop in between 10am and 5pm. Light refreshments available.
