A new 'high end' restaurant could be on the cards for Beaconsfield after an application was submitted to transform two disused shops.

Plans have been submitted to change a former car repairs workshop and a window showroom at 15 - 21 Gregories Road into a new restaurant.

If the plans are given the green light by South Bucks District Council, then work will be done to add an area for summer seating on the ground and first floor and new glazing will be installed to improve the "poor covered frontage" that already exists.

No new parking will be added at site, but an entrance will be added at the back of the restaurant giving access from the car park behind.

MSC Planning Consultants Ltd, who have submitted the plans on behalf of the applicant, say the new restaurant will "enhance the vitality of the town and would not detract from the retail attractiveness of the centre."

It has not yet been confirmed which restaurant will move into the town, however, it is expected to be a "high end operator", according to the agent.
