Ever been asked for directions to Hiwickom or Beckonsfield? Well, according to research, the two towns – otherwise known as High Wycombe and Beaconsfield – are amongst the UK's top 50 most misspelt places.
They do not quite match the heights of Edinboro (Edinburgh), Lesster (Leicester) or Luffboro (Loughborough), but the spelling of the two south Bucks towns appears to have some people scratching their heads.
High Wycombe was named as the 23rd most commonly misspelt place in a list compiled from searched for places on Travelodge’s website.
Most people refer to the town as Hiwickom, Hiwicombe or Highwicome.
And Beaconsfield, or Beeconsfield/ Beckonsfield for those not in the know, was named as 30th on the list.
Aylesbury, which is also spelt as Alesbury and Alisbury, made the list at number 27.

Coming out on top was Edinburgh - most often spelt as Edinboro, Edinburg and Edinbough.
London is entered as Landan, Londan and Loodon, whilst Cardiff is spelt as Kardiff and Cardyff.
Other UK locations making the top ten list of misspelt locations include the popular seaside resort on the English Channel in Devon, Torquay which is often spelt as Tourkey and Tourkie.
Nicknamed the Great Border city, Carlisle also makes the top ten listing of misspelt locations as it often spelt as Carlilse and Carlyle.
