Two people have been arrested on suspicion of assault after a woman was allegedly kicked in the head near a kebab van in Beaconsfield. 

At around 1.30am on February 26, a 29-year-old woman was with a man near a kebab van in London End, Beaconsfield Old Town, when they became involved in a "verbal altercation" with a group of two men and two women, police say. 

The victim was allegedly pushed by one of the women from the group and, once on the ground, was kicked in the head - leaving her with a bruised and swollen face.

The group then left in a taxi.

A 31-year-old woman from Wooburn Green and a 57-year-old man from Great Kingshill have been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Both have been released on bail until March 20.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward with information. 

The first offender is described as being white, in her mid-twenties to early thirties, of a large build and with long blonde hair.

The second is white, aged around 50 to 60, with grey hair. He wore a dark coat.
