The trophy was given to student Ashton Goode last week for his involvement in school sport across all levels and his peers have praised the awards as a great honour.
PE subject leader Helen Storey said: “The James Fifield Award is for contribution to school sport, based on the successful student’s involvement over their whole time at school.
“James was a highly valued student and a major contributor to our school’s sport department from when he first started at our school.
“We are delighted to have created an award that acknowledges James and his involvement whilst at school.”
She added: “Ashton has always been involved in a number of sports as he progressed up the school, including football, athletics and hockey.
“He has also volunteered to help with leadership at global rock and the Year 6 games during his time in the sixth form and has been involved in coaching football after school to our younger students.
“He has made a significant contribution to sport at Bourne End Academy and is a role model to younger students.”
