Emergency services were called to a village pub late last night after reports of a fire in a ground-flood toilet.
Firefighters from Beaconsfield and High Wycombe raced to The Black Lion, in Bourne End, after receiving 999 calls at 11.30pm, about a smoking hand dryer.
Crews used one hose reel, two sets of breathing apparatus and a positive pressure ventilation during the incident at the Marlow Road pub.
The pub did not have to close following the incident and is open for business as usual today.
Landlord Mark Sweny, 57, said: "We called 999 after a hand dryer in one of the toilets started smoking.
"The hand dryer is not working anymore, but the pub is still open as normal."
