Residents who have just moved into a new retirement apartment development in Bourne End celebrated their first Christmas together with a yuletide party last week.
Retirement housebuilder, McCarthy and Stone, organised a morning of festive entertainment at the newly-built Blyton House on Marlow Road.
Residents enjoyed a special performance of carols through the decades from performer Clive Silverman and were joined by family, friends and locals to celebrate their first Christmas together.
Everyone joined-in with the repertoire of yuletide classics and traditional carols and there was mulled wine and mince pies to get everyone in the festive spirit.
Elaine Stratford, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for McCarthy and Stone, said: “Our festive event was a huge success; and we were delighted with the turnout of visitors from the local community who were keen to take a look at our stunning new development.
“We are very thankful for the musical accompaniment to our event from Clive Silverman who performed brilliantly and got us all into the festive spirit.
“It is wonderful to see the tight-knit community that has formed in just a short time at Blyton House.”
