AN EXHIBITION of watercolours and pottery by John Bailey opens in Oakridge Lynch on Saturday.
"My latest collection includes new impressions of the Cotswolds, Cornwall, Brittany and Paxos, plus some colourful pottery," said John.
"I did this painting (pictured here) at the beginning of September during a period of good weather, near Oakridge, on the road between Bisley and Water Lane.
"When the sun came out I set off in my little Morris 1,000 convertible, with the hood down, looking for a scene I liked.
"The light and the colour of the harvested fields there really grabbed me, so I parked up, got the easel out and got painting. People going by gave me a hoot and a wave."
Exhibition continues until December 2.
