PLANNING permission has been given to convert a former shop into a tattoo parlour in Princes Risborough.

Gary Johnson was given permission for a change of use at 11, Duke Street from retail to use as a tattoo parlour.

The unit was previously AquaMed, which offered fish pedicures, and had closed after it opened last April.

Great news. There has been a real tattoo vacuum since the demise of the previous parlour.

No doubt the peace and quiet of Princes Risborough will soon be shattered by the roar of motor bike engines as hoards of hells angels and hairy bikers descend on the town to get themselves embellished with new tattoos.

No the only roar will be from the closed minded out of touch minority who hounded the last tattoo shop out of town!

I take it by your comments, the locals didn't like the last shop?
Can't see why?

A certain group of people didn't like it and were quite forthright with their objections. Times move on but sadly some people in this town refuse to move with it!

Personally I can't see why they would object to a shop bringing more people in, spending money and using services within the town?

Ivor, once again your opinion does not cover the whole topic and give's a biased outlook.

This is great news for Princes Risbrough, not some social hell hole with the things you associate them with. I am only 20 and have tattoo's and I go to enough trouble to choose what I 'embellish' my body with and none of the times have I sat in a studio and seen motorbikes and loud hairy bikers walk through the door.

Take a look around you Ivor, the south bucks is full of interesting people with tattoos and lets wish the gentleman who's opening this venture.

Risborough is over-run by charity shops which has resulted in the town becomming ghostly and boring! only.a handful of residents are interested in shopping in these charities whilst the majority have to venture to either High Wycombe or Aylesbury..these charities shops (yes i agree they are for a good cause)are pushing people away hence the closures of business in the town because everyone knows there is nothing worth while in that high street! Ok a tattoo parlour, in my opinion cant see really see it doing well..why cant someone open a great healthy al fresco food restaurant or a trendy clothes shop..the town is dead! Why doesnt the local council ask the residents on ideas then contact people who wish to open a business around there knowing that thats what people want instead of another charity shop or a business which has been set up for the wrong targeted market. All around help, communication and participation. less money wasted amd less people put in debt!
