Flowers have been left at the roadside after a woman died in a horror crash yesterday evening.

The fatal crash happened at 6.36pm on the A355 Amersham Road, near to Coleshill, about half a mile from Magpie Lane.

Three cars, a blue Peugeot 307, a silver VW Golf and a black Mercedes SLK, were involved.

A man was airlifted to hospital after the collision, while the driver of a third vehicle was not injured.

Today, a single bunch of flowers had been left at the scene among the debris of the crash.

Last night, the road was closed in both directions between Amersham and Beaconsfield while emergency services were at the scene.

Fire engines and crews from Beaconsfield, Amersham and Gerrards Cross attended, along with an officer and used hydraulic rescue equipment.

A man who was driving one of the other vehicles was air lifted to the Royal London Hospital where he remains in a stable but serious condition.

The identity of the 29-year-old female driver has not been released, but Buckinghamshire Coroner's Court confirmed they were handling the case.

Sgt Fraser Chamberlain from Roads Policing at Milton Keynes Police Station said: “Thames Valley Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this collision, or may have seen the vehicles shortly before.

“Please contact the Serious Collision investigation team on 101.”
