A manhunt is underway for a 28-year-old wanted in connection with 17 burglaries in the Chiltern and south Bucks area.

Police have told the public not to approach Ryan Lee, 28, from Little Chalfont - who is wanted in relation to the offences committed between December 16 2015 and February 5 this year.

Instead anyone who sees him must call 999 as an emergency according to Thames Valley Police.

He is around 6ft 3ins, of a large build and has green eyes and light brown hair.

He has links to the local area and is known to frequent pubs and hotels in Chiltern and South Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire.

Investigating officer DS Elizabeth Tait, of Local CID based at Taplow police station, said: “I would appeal to anyone who has any information about Ryan Lee’s whereabouts to contact police. Please do not approach him directly, but call us as an emergency on 999.

“The public should be aware that it is an offence to help conceal a wanted person. Please contact us immediately if you have any information.

“If you do not want to speak directly to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.”
