A man has been arrested following a fight near a Chalfont St Peter pub on Friday night. 

Two men were involved in the fight outside the Greyhound Inn, High Street at about 8.10pm.

One of the men allegedly chased the other and assaulted him by the roundabout junction with the A413.

During the fight, the man who was assaulted had his top pulled off and was bare chested, but it is unknown if he was injured. 

A 30-year-old man from Chorleywood, Hertfordshire, has been arrested on suspicion of affray and has been released under investigation.

Investigating officer PC Arshid Ali, based at Amersham police station, said: “At the time of the incident, the front of the pub was busy and there were a lot of people on foot due to a nearby fair which was taking place at the time.

“We are seeking witnesses and anyone who can provide information to the incident.

“Anyone with any information should call the Thames Valley Police non-emergency number on 101.”
