A naked man was seen standing on a footpath near an award-winning park in Chesham yesterday.
A woman reported seeing the man with no clothes on at the junction of two footpaths from Chartridge Lane and Pednor Road, near Lowndes Park at around 6.30pm yesterday.
The man started to get dressed and did not approach the woman.
He is described as white, around 50 years old, with a broad build and distinctive brown ‘basin-style’ haircut.
Lowndes Park is a popular spot for families and children and the footpath runs near Chiltern Hills Academy.
Sgt James Ellis, Neighbourhood Sergeant based at Chesham Police Station, said: “I would like to reassure people that although this is a well frequented footpath close to Chiltern Hills Academy, this incident happened outside of school hours and the man did not display any threatening behaviour.
“I understand that the man may have been seen by other members of the public and we would like to speak to them.
“We are increasing patrols in the local area and I would appeal to anyone with any information about the incident to get in touch by calling 101.”
