A Chesham-based window film business will be in the running for a prestigious industry award at a black-tie award ceremony tomorrow evening.

The Window Film Company, whose headquarters are on Asheridge Road, has been shortlisted for the Small to Medium Enterprise of the Year award in the Thames Valley Business Magazine Awards.

The category is judged on criteria including current business performance, growth over the past two years, innovation, and contribution to the industry.

The Company, which was founded by Micky Calcott in 1998, now has additional premises in London and employs 28 full time staff.

Mr Calcott said: “I’m absolutely delighted to have made the shortlist.

“We were visited by a judging panel as part of the process and in explaining to them some of the achievements we’ve managed this year it occurred to me just how busy we’ve been!

“For all the hard work we’ve put in to be recognised with an award nomination is obviously very pleasing, but whatever the outcome I’m delighted with the way things have gone.”

The winners will be announced during a ceremony at the Madesjski Stadium in Reading on Thursday 19 November.
