On Saturday (January 30) Team Better will be rowing the distance equivalent to crossing the English Channel in aid of Sport Relief at Chesham Leisure Centre, White Hill, from 11am to 4pm. To book your slot please email james.matthews@gll.org or call 01494 791 779. Better is an official Partner of Sport Relief. Suggested minimum donation £3.00 per person.
The Misbourne Symphony Orchestra takes place on Saturday February 6 at The Amersham School, Stanley Hill. Tickets are £12 for adults, £10 for concessions and £5 for children, and are available from www.ticketsource.co.uk/misbournesymphonyorchestra, 01494 784479, at the door or from The Record Shop, Amersham and Perfect Pitch, Chesham.
On Saturday February 6, local Independent dyer SkeinQueen will be holding a talk on how she built a successful business dying her own yarn and the processes she uses to do it. The event, which takes place from 2-5pm at The Barn Hall, Amersham community centre, Chiltern Ave, Amersham, includes a hot drink, cake and biscuits and parking for under £5.
