Descriptions of two men who were seen running away from the scene of an arson attack in Chesham were released by police this afternoon.

Fire crews were called to Larkin Industrial Estate on Springfield Road at around 9:25pm on Saturday after four cars were set alight and a further four damaged.

Thames Valley Police say two offenders were seen running away from the scene and making off in a small white van. Both men were described as black, medium build and wearing dark clothing.

Investigating officer PC David Mitchell, of Local CID at Amersham police station, said: “While we do not believe there is any cause for alarm for the wider community, anyone with concerns can speak to their local Neighbourhood Policing Team.”

TVP confirmed yesterday that a 28-year-old man from High Wycombe has been arrested in connection with the arson attack and has been released on Police Bail until March 22.
