Chesham & Amersham MP Cheryl Gillan pledged her support for campaign to transform the employability of young people with autism this week. National charity Ambitious about Autism says the UK would save £9 billion per year if there was sufficient access to employment. The MP said: “With the right support and opportunities, young people with autism can join the work force and make a brilliant contribution to their local communities.”
South Bucks RSPCA are hosting a jumble sale at St George’s Scout Hall in White Lion Road, Little Chalfont (HP7 9LW) on Saturday April 9 between 2pm and 4pm. The sale will include clothes, shows, bric-a-brac, household linens and children’s toys as well as light refreshments and cakes. Admission is 50p per person. For more details call 01494 764955.
Sarah Conneely and Research Rocks are hosting a mini music festival and fun day in aid of Chiltern-based charity Rennie Grove. The event takes place on Sunday May 1 at The Dashwood Arms in West Wycombe from 12pm until late. Tickets are £5 in advance and £8 on the day.
