An 18-year-old schoolgirl from south Bucks has been named as the teenager who tragically died during a music festival earlier this week.

Tributes have poured in on social media for young Chesham teenager Olivia Christopher, known as Livvy, who was found in her tent at BoomTown Festival.

Described as “beautiful and bubbly” by heartbroken friends, Livvy, who is believed to have worked at Waitrose, is the fourth person to die at the controversial event in its seven-year history.

Bucks Free Press:

The youngster, who is understood to have studied at St Clement Danes school in Chorleywood, was found in her tent at around midday on Monday.

Paramedics battled to save the teenager on the Winchester festival campsite, but she was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are treating her death as non-suspicious.

Tributes have poured in for the popular schoolgirl in the last couple of days after classmates learned of the tragic news.

A close friend – one of many to write an emotional tribute on Facebook, according to national reports - said: “Someone with so much life in their soul, so kind and generous, so beautiful and bubbly.

“Livvy brought life to everyone, I will never forget your crazy laugh and constant smile.

“You lived your life to the fullest, may you rest in peace angel. Love you endlessly.”

A Hampshire Police spokeswoman said: “Sadly, despite efforts from paramedics and the on-site doctor, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious but investigations are ongoing on behalf of the coroner.

“Officers continue to work closely with BoomTown organisers and witnesses and friends who were at the event are being supported.

“Next of kin have been informed.”

The four-day event featured shows by Leftfield, Levellers and Fun Lovin' Criminals as well as Madness and Damian Marley.

Boomtown also suffered a major blaze, which destroyed more than 80 cars.
