Theatre and music

A Few Good Men
A Few Good Men is a play by Aaron Sorkin, writer of ‘The West Wing’ and was first produced on Broadway in 1989. It tells the story of military lawyers at a court-martial who uncover a high-level conspiracy in the course of defending their clients, two United States Marines accused of murder. The Navy lawyer, a callow young man more interested in softball games than the case, expects a plea bargain and a cover up of what really happened. Prodded by a female member of his defence team, the lawyer eventually makes a valiant effort to defend his clients and, in so doing, puts the military mentality and the Marine code of honour on trial. Tickets £14, concessions £12. Email rbfourways@btinternet.com for information.
16 until 18 February, 7.45pm, Lancaster Theatre, Wycombe Abbey, High Wycombe.
