A man has been arrested in connection with a fight that saw a 23-year-old hit in the face in Chesham.
At around 11.30pm on Friday night (April 14), a large group of people - mostly men - allegedly started arguing in Deansway, at the junction with Shortway.
A physical fight is then believed to have broken out, which saw a 23-year-old man hit in the face, leaving him with a cut that needed hospital treatment.
He has since been discharged.
A 29-year-old man from Chesham has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and has been released under investigation.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Justine Haw from Force CID, said: “The victim of this assault had to receive hospital treatment due to the injuries sustained.
"We are urging anyone who witnessed it to please come forward. If anyone has any information that could assist with the investigation, please call the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101, quoting incident number 43170108756."
