More than 300 Christmas hampers were wrapped by volunteers ahead of their 30th annual Christmas bazaar next weekend.

Just days after Halloween, the Christmas spirit was alive and well in Chesham Bois as community first responders from South Central Ambulance Service joined members of CAWC International as they prepared hundreds of presents ahead of the organisation’s annual fair on November 12.

This year’s bazaar will support the South Central Ambulance Charity and funds will go towards helping volunteer community first responders.

More than £300,000 has been raised for charity since the event started 30 years ago.

Countess Howe will open this year’s dazzling event at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Gerrards Cross, which is set to feature more than 70 stalls.

CAWC president Robin Smirnov said: “In our 30th year of hosting our charity bazaar, we are marking the event with a new focus on raising money to support a single charity over several years. We are delighted to be supporting The South Central Ambulance Charity’s Buckinghamshire Community First Responders and welcome everyone to learn about the great work that they do and come along to the bazaar.”
