A list of south Bucks’ biggest anti-social behaviour hotspots can today be revealed by the Bucks Free Press.
Following a Freedom of Information (FoI) request to Thames Valley Police, Wycombe, Marlow and Chesham have emerged as the worst-hit neighbourhoods throughout 2017.
In total, there were 2,492 reports in the Wycombe Local Policing Area (LPA), 1,151 in the Chilterns and 833 in South Bucks between January 1 and December 31, last year.
Across the main regions of High Wycombe, broken down into south, east and west, there were 1,456 anti-social behaviour reports – equalling 3.9 per day on average.
Anti-social behaviour hotspots revealed:
-
Wycombe South: 518 incidents reported
-
Wycombe East: 473 incidents reported
-
Wycombe West: 465 incidents reported
-
Marlow: 391 incidents reported
-
Chesham: 385 incidents reported
-
Amersham: 262 incidents reported
-
Chepping Wye Valley: 256 incidents reported
-
Missendens: 253 incidents reported
-
Denham/Gerrards Cross: 238 incidents reported
-
Chalfonts: 218 incidents reported
-
Iver/Stoke Poges/Wexham: 213 incidents reported
-
Burnham/Farnhams/Taplow: 202 incidents reported
- Beaconsfield: 166 incidents reported
There were 33 anti-social behaviour incidents in “non-mapped” areas of the Chiltern LPA and 14 in the South Bucks LPA.
The figures have been uncovered following an FoI request put in by Bucks Free Press reporters.
The latest revelation comes just months after Thames Valley Police was criticised by Wycombe District Council for not giving anti-social behaviour the attention it deserves.
Council leader, Katrina Wood, said bad behaviour including drinking and drug-taking is “insidiously taking root” across the whole Wycombe district.
