The Chinese New Year kicked off in style in Chesham at the weekend as hundreds of people turned out to celebrate the Year of the Dog.
Chinatown came to the town’s Market Square, with mayor Emily Culverhouse joining in the festivities.
There was a Chinese lion dance at noon preceded by a ‘dotting of the eyes’ ceremony to start the performance, which was watched by a huge crowd.
Chinese food and novelty items were on offer, and revellers enjoyed numerous market stalls on the day.
