AN ACCIDENT on the M40 southbound has closed two lanes between junctions 2 and 1a, causing congestion all the way back to Handy Cross.
The Highways Agency reports that a crash involving a lorry and a car occurred around 6.35am.
The wreckage has been moved to the hard shoulder where it is awaiting recovery. Lanes three and four remain closed.
