LONDON Mayor Boris Johnson has been warned by an MP to consult commuters from outside the capital on any plans for the Underground system.
Cheryl Gillan, the MP for Amersham and Chesham, told the new Mayor her constituents should have more of a say in the services they use.
Many people from the Chiltern district regularly use the Underground at stations at Amersham, Chesham and Chalfont and Latimer, but do not have any say on who controls the network.
She said: "My constituents do not have a voice in the election of the Mayor, but their views on our transport system deserve a full hearing."
Mrs Gillan added she had lobbied Mr Johnson's predecessor Ken Livingstone about consultations on public transport services.
