Haileybury is one of the country's leading co-educational boarding schools, set in 500 acres of countryside near Hertford, 20 miles north of London and 30 miles south of Cambridge.
Set in spacious grounds and enjoying unrivalled teaching and sporting facilities, Haileybury aims to provide the very best all-round education for 11 to 18-year-olds. The well-qualified teachers provide a wide-ranging, high quality teaching experience which caters well for pupils' intellectual, physical and aesthetic needs.
Haileybury has a flourishing academic reputation, and was ranked at Number 28 in the 2006 Times league tables. Haileybury has been offering the popular International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme for nine years and the 2007 Leavers boasted an average UCAS points score equivalent to 3 As+ per pupil at A Level.
The school is also bucking the national trend when it comes to boarding figures, and claims a nearly 40% increase in the number of boarders in eight years. The 515 boarders make up 68% of the total pupil population.
