A primary school took centre stage as a fun-filled festival rocked-up in a south Buckinghamshire village at the weekend.

About 1,000 people embraced the Flackwell Heath event with organisers saying the venue was full of “smiling faces and dancing feet”.

Held in the grounds of Juniper Hill School, in Churchill Close, the event is now in its third year with a number of activities open to all of the family.

A variety of music acts were invited to perform throughout Saturday’s festival, while there was more fun and games – including sumo wrestling – for youngsters.

Juniper Hill PTA member, Emma Forrest, said: “All of the bands and performers were excellent, from young local talent like Table21 and Littlewing to the hugely experienced Rock Doctors.

“XCs finished the day with a fantastic set that had everyone up and dancing. This is a massive undertaking for a group of volunteers but yet again they delivered an immensely enjoyable, high quality event.”

All profits from the day will go towards the dining room project at the school.
