Theft has dominated crime across the Chepping Wye Valley this month, police say.

Three vans had tools stolen, a bike was stolen from a shed and thieves attempted to break into a garage in Hazlemere between March 1 and 23.

In Tylers Green, there was also an attempted burglary on Coppice Farm Road, while two vehicles had items stolen and two old lawnmowers were taken from someone’s garden.

Loudwater also saw six actual or attempted thefts from vehicles, while a garage on Brambleside was also broken into, with tyres and a lawnmower stolen.

Police say Flackwell Heath has been the "quietest" for crime this month, but a van was stolen and later found in High Wycombe and some copper pipe was taken from a garden by thieves.

In his monthly policing update, Sergeant Mat Lloyd, of the Chepping Wye Valley neighbourhood team, urged residents not to keep valuable items in cars or vans, to consider installing CCTV and to mark property and report suspicious activity by calling 999.
