BOURNE END's Community Centre on Wakeman Road has installed solar panels on its roof to generate power for its activities. Jeremy Ilic, chairman of the village Community Association, will talk about the project and its future impact at the organisation's AGM on June 3.

BOURNE END's Forum Players are gearing up for their spring performances of 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe'. The show will be at the Community Centre on Wakeman Road on May 18, 20 and 21. Tickets are available in the library. The 8pm Wednesday show is for senior citizens and is free. On the Friday the performance is at 8pm and there are shows at 2.30 and 6.30pm on the Saturday. Tickets are £8 for adults and £6 for children.

FLACKWELL Heath FC product Ross Broadway will take part in one of football’s traditional fixtures tomorrow night. Broadway was selected for Cambridge University’s side to play Oxford in the 127th Varsity Match between the academic power houses. The former John Hampden Grammar School student graduated last year and is studying Geography at Cambridge. The match will be played at Oxford United’s Kassam Stadium.
