Food lovers across Buckinghamshire rejoiced as the Great Missenden Food Festival cooked up a treat on its bank holiday weekend return.

From live barbecue cooking classes, to tasting kitchens and a kids food laboratory, tastebuds were tingling as the three-day event swept through south Bucks.

The annual event attracted thousands of people, as they were given the opportunity to enjoy food from around the world while making the most of the glorious sunshine.

Up to 120 exhibitors selling and sampling some of the best of artisan regional and internationally acclaimed produce were featured over the weekend.

A wide variety of foods offered something for everyone, with the tantalising selection including delicious cheeses, sweet treats, regional produce, International cuisine and artisan street food.

Taking a break from the food, there were also many other activities, including a wild food foraging walk and a hands-on tuition in making the perfect summer barbecue food.

And kids of all ages were invited to get their fingers sticky making pizza from scratch in the cookery school or find their inner mad scientist, creating jelly explosions in the food laboratory.

Leading the demonstrations as one of the main attractions on the last day was author and co-creator Cbeebies’ ‘I can cook’, Kate Morris.
