Gerrards Cross is top of the class as the brainiest postcode in the country, a recent survey has found.
Students in the village received the highest score for their top eight GCSE subjects last year as they edged out teenagers from Amersham and Solihull to take their place at the top of the podium, according to the Royal Mail.
The village had an average point score of 392 across the best eight subjects in the SL9 postcode, beating Amersham’s HP6 area into second, while HP9 in Beaconsfield was recorded as the fourth across England.
An average score was taken from GCSE students studying from 2008/9 to 2012/13 in England.
