Young pupils at Thorpe House School in Gerrards Cross embraced the celebrations of the Chinese New Year earlier last month by making their own dragon.
The boys did not let the half-term celebrations get in their way as they made the dragon and danced with it in the playground the following week.
Mrs Causer, one of the Reception class teachers said: “The boys did a great job performing their dragon dance; they needed to be really coordinated and stay together to make the dragon looks as authentic as possible which they did really well.”
As well as having fun and learning about the tradition it also boosted their English and mathematics studies too.
The school said they were able to focus on characters and a story setting while also learning about numeric orders and sequences.
