Residents will be able to have their say on local healthcare issues at an annual meeting next week.

The two NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups serving Bucks - Aylesbury Vale and Chiltern - will hold their 2017 AGMs on September 14.

Aylesbury Vale and Chiltern CCGs, which work in close collaboration to buy in health services for residents of the county, will hold the event at The Gateway in Aylesbury, from 6.30pm to 8pm.

There will be presentations and displays on the CCGs’ activities over the last year and on plans for the future of healthcare in Bucks, with residents able to ask questions about local healthcare issues.

The future plans will include ways that the CCGs will work even more closely with health and social care partners to provide a more "joined up" approach to patient care.

Lou Patten, accountable officer for Aylesbury Vale and Chiltern CCGs, said: “These are challenging but exciting times for health services in Buckinghamshire and we continue to work hard to deliver the high quality services and outcomes our population deserves.

"We are working more closely than ever with our health and social care partners to ensure our patients are absolutely at the heart of the services we offer."

The meeting will also be live streamed, meaning anyone with an internet connection can watch.

Questions can be submitted ahead of time, asked live or tweeted during the event, when they can be answered by CCG staff.

You can submit questions in advance to BucksCCGs@nhs.net and during the meeting via Twitter @bucksccgs using the hashtag #askBucksCCGs
