Councillors, parents and children celebrated the official opening of a newly refurbished playground in Hazlemere on Friday.

The play area on Hazlemere Recreation Ground, off Amersham Road, has had a major revamp after the parish council earmarked £50,000 for the project.

Parents and children joined Hazlemere parish council chairman Milly Roberts as she officially cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony on July 15.

A new roundabout and trampoline for children with disabilities has been installed, as well as new swings, a see-saw and a toddler multi-play unit.

A rope tunnel and a rolling log have also been added, while the pathways to the play area have been improved.

Pupils from Hazlemere C of E School also joined the celebration and sang songs.
