A High Wycombe grammar school has been flying the flag for Wanderers ahead of their big Wembley day out following a visit from some of the players.

Students from John Hampden Grammar School appear to be fully behind the team ahead of tomorrow’s play-off final and were excited to meet players Sido Jombati and Nathan Evans at the school yesterday.

With current first-team goalkeeper Matt Ingram a former student of the school, staff and pupils say they will do all they can to showing their support for the club.

The school have even changed their logo ahead of the big game.

Assistant headteacher Andy Wright said: “I go down to Adams Park when I can and it’s always good to see so many students there supporting the local team.

“We weren’t too sure about who was coming along and a lot of students have been asking me if it’s going to be one of their favourite players.

“A lot of the boys are going along on Saturday and a few members of staff will be going along too – some to watch their very first live game of football.

“We’re all really pleased to see the club doing well, they do represent the local area and to see them involved in the big occasions is nice for all involved.”
