A young girl, who was seriously injured after she was in a collision with a car in High Wycombe on Saturday, remains in a critical but stable condition, police say.

The six-year-old was hurt after she was knocked off her scooter in a collision with a silver Vauxhall Corsa in Wingate Avenue, near Hatters Lane.

The child was taken to John Radcliffe Hospital following the collision at about 5pm on Saturday.

Investigating officer, PC Matt Diduca from the Amersham Roads Policing department said: “I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision.”

He added that anyone with information should contact PC Diduca on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
