Star students, teachers and parents were celebrating a record-breaking A-Level results day at Wycombe High School this morning.

Overall, 81 per cent of all grades at the Marlow Road-based school finished with A* to B grades and in total 17 per cent of all grades were A*.

The results were the best the school have ever had and delighted headteacher Sharon Cromie praised all involved for their hard work.

She said: “These exceptional results reflect the hard work of Wycombe High students and the teachers who support them. The girls’ success is very much deserved.

“Great A-Level results require hours, months, indeed years of intense study both in and out of the classroom.

“Our girls have shown they have the grit, determination and focus to achieve the highest possible results.

“They and their families have much to celebrate. We are extremely proud of every student.”

The school also celebrated achieving a mark of 49 per cent of grades being A* to A, with 47 students achieving at least three A* to A grades.
