A Beaconsfield business is supporting a Christmas campaign to send a shoebox full of presents to deprived children in war torn countries around the world.

Regus, a flexible workspace provider which also has offices in High Wycombe, is opening its doors to support Operation Christmas Child this year and asking residents to get involved.

Operation Christmas Child, an initiative that has been run by international relief charity Samaritan’s Purse since 1990, aims to send shoeboxes full of presents to children living in refugee camps, orphanages and impoverished neighbourhoods.

Beaconsfield and High Wycombe residents are being encouraged to fill shoeboxes with toys, stationery, small clothing and hygiene items which will be sent abroad in time for Christmas Day.

The decorated boxes can be dropped off at the Regus centres at Beaconsfield Motorway Services and Kingsmead Business Park in High Wycombe from November 2 to November 18 on weekdays between 8.30am and 6pm.

Richard Morris, UK chief executive at Regus, said: “We’re delighted to support this very worthy cause which brightens up Christmas time for disadvantaged children, including those caught up in the Syrian crisis and those living in refugee camps.

“Local businesses, schools and individuals are encouraged to get involved and donate their shoeboxes at any of our centres.”
