A sex offender who stole money from car park pay machines in High Wycombe over the Christmas period and twice took the whole machine has been recalled to prison after pleading guilty.

Charles Bamber, 34, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty at High Wycombe Magistrates on January 14, to ten counts of theft, nine counts of criminal damage and one count of failure to comply with the notification requirements of the sex offenders register.

Bamber carried out a string of crimes in High Wycombe, between Christmas Day and January 10.

He broke into car park pay machines causing criminal damage and taking sums of money and on two occasions he stole the whole machine.

On January 5, Bamber also stole alcohol from a convenience store.

Bamber was arrested on January 13 following an investigation by a Thames Valley Police officer.

He is due to be sentenced at Aylesbury Crown Court, but a date has not yet been set.

He has been recalled to prison due to the breach of the conditions under the Sex Offenders’ Register.
