A new Park and Ride route for people who live and work in High Wycombe was launched today after being officially moved to Handy Cross.

Changes to the route were announced last month, with the Park and Ride base moving from Cressex Island to the £150 million Handy Cross Hub.

The Carousel Buses-operated service, will travel directly from the new Coachway to the town centre, calling at the Railway Station, the Bus Station at the Eden Shopping Centre and Wycombe Hospital.

However, current customers wishing to travel between Cressex and the town centre will have to use a replacement service, route 34, which will be operated by Arriva Buses.

As part of the new PR1 service, customers can park free for up to 12 hours at the Coachway, and a new fleet of buses featuring free wi-fi will run every 15 to 20 minutes.

Chiltern Railways customers holding monthly or longer season tickets can also travel for free to and from the railway station on both the PR1 and 34 routes.
