A robber who stole cash from a vulnerable pensioner in High Wycombe has been jailed.

Steven Lewis, of no fixed above, was visiting the 66-year-old male victim at a house in Archdale, High Wycombe, when he pushed him onto a sofa and stole £150 from his wallet.

Following a trial lasting two and a half days, the 35-year-old attacker has been jailed to four years in prison on a charge of robbery.

Investigating officer, PC Beck Brydon from Wycombe Local CID, said: "This significant sentence reflects the severity of the crime against a vulnerable individual.

“Hopefully the length of this sentence will act as a deterrent to others considering targeting vulnerable members of our local community, and reassure the public that we do our utmost to ensure these offenders are brought to justice."

Officers arrested Lewis on September 19 last year following the attack on September 2.
