Crowds of tennis fans were served up a treat this weekend as an iconic sporting trophy, lifted by Andy Murray last year after a famous win for Great Britain, was displayed in High Wycombe.

Visitors at the Eden Shopping Centre were able to get a glimpse of sporting history on Saturday, as they got close to the huge Davis Cup trophy.

The trophy, which is touring the UK as part of a huge tennis celebration, was displayed in the town six months after Great Britain triumphantly claimed the title for the first time in 79 years.

Sports fans of all ages excitedly queued to have the chance to examine the famous trophy and have their pictures taken next to it.

The trophy was presented outside House of Fraser on Saturday afternoon and proved to be a popular attraction during the two hours it was in place.

A small court was also set up near the trophy, giving tennis enthusiasts the chance to try and replicate some of the shots which led to the victory for GB in November 2015.

Last year, dozens of people excitedly waited to see the Rugby World Cup as it was paraded in the town shopping centre.
