A supermarket in High Wycombe which was closed after shoppers reportedly saw a rat run across a food shelf, has announced it will not reopen and has been sold.
Earlier today, the Bucks Free Press revealed mystery surrounded the future of the Cressex store, which was closed just weeks before Christmas following a health scare.

However, Midcounties Co-operative has now confirmed the premises in Squirrel Lane have been sold to an unnamed “independent owner”.
The supermarket giant appears to have washed its hands with the store after being forced to close its doors six months ago.
At the time, shop bosses said they were working alongside environmental health services to ensure that they can reopen as soon as possible.
It is unclear what the future holds for the site, with a Midcounties Co-operative spokesman unable to confirm who the new owner is and what plans they have for the property.
