A flytipper who was caught dumping rubbish from his work van at the roadside to avoid his boss seeing the mess has been back in court six months later and forced to pay more than £2,000 for illegally dumping soil.

High Wycombe man Nathan Willment was slapped with a hefty fine in April after admitting dumping bottles of drink and empty food packets in a country lane – but has once again fallen foul of the law.

On August 24 at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court, the 24-year-old, of Bank Street, admitted depositing soil on land in Allerds Way, Farnham Royal, in February this year against the conditions of his environmental permit.

He was told to pay £2,303 after being fined £1,625, forced to give £315 in compensation and £363 in costs.

The bill comes in at slightly less that the £2,426 cost of his last crime after investigators linked a bag of rubbish in Beaconsfield back to him.

Under police interview at the time he admitted throwing the litter out of his van after worrying about what his boss would say after he agreed to give him a lift later that day.

Willment has been told to pay his latest fine by September 21.
