It was another fun-filled week for the children of south Bucks as they made the most of the Easter holidays.

Wycombe Museum geared up for another day of Easter fun on Thursday, inviting youngsters to get creative and paint their own egg in an array of colours.

After getting messy with paint, they decorated their own baskets to transport their colourful eggs home in.

Families also took advantage of the children's funfair at The Rye, over the weekend.

Elsewhere in the county, Chiltern Open Air Museum in Chalfont St Giles hosted another Terrific Tuesday, which saw excited children have a go at straw plaiting and brick making, listen to Aesop’s Fables re-told using puppets and masks and take part in craft activities including book and pop up card making, along with three little pig and wolf making masks and shields.

The museum also welcomed a folk group to play a concert for delighted families.

Over at the Wycombe Swan Theatre in the centre of High Wycombe, weird and wonderful creatures came to life on Tuesday as the imaginative youngsters took part in a Scrap Animation session, using yoghurt pots and video tape.

The theatre also played host to the likes of Keith Chegwin and X Factor star Stevi Ritchie as they put on a dazzling Easter panto, Beauty and the Beast, for families.
